All-Clad 7506 All-Clad Master Chef 2 6-Quart Stockpot

Lovely All-Clad Master Chef 2 6-Quart Stockpot ALL-CLAD TURNED ME INTO A CHEFBy A CustomerI thought I couldn't cook -- until I started using All-Clad. I kept scorching the pudding and didn't realize it was my old, thin stainless steel pans with the copper bottoms that was the problem. (You know the ones I mean.) All-clad pans are wonderful. They conduct heat well, clean easily, and are heavy enough to avoid scorching problems. I recommend them to everyone. I have an assortment from the 2 qt. copper saucier for delicate sauces to this useful aluminum exterior clad 6 qt. pot that I use for absolutely everything, from spaghetti sauces to chili to pot roasts. This 6 quart beauty is the first piece of All-clad that I purchased over 10 years ago. It is also the pot I use most often and I have no trouble keeping the aluminum clad exterior clean enough to hang on the wall.Furthermore, I know from first hand experience that the All-clad company stands behind their product and will replace them if there is a problem. The only exterior that I don't have much experience with is the LTD. I bought one of the 1 qt. bargains -- and so far it has not scratched although my use has been very light. All-Clad 7403 All-Clad Master Chef 2 3-Quart Saute Pan

This cool All-Clad Master Chef 2 3-Quart Saute Pan My most used panBy D. JonesThis pan is great! I use it on an almost daily basis for sauces, stir fry, and the like. High sides keep the sauce in the pan and off the stovetop. Cleans easily. This pan and the 6 quart saute pan are the two pans I use the most.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. »» Read more...

All-Clad 7406 All-Clad Master Chef 2 6-Quart Saute Pan

How about this All-Clad Master Chef 2 6-Quart Saute Pan All-Clad Is All-HypeBy mikechAs an amateur chef with a great deal of experience with pans of this sort I was very disappointed when I received this pan. The handle is too short and it is of a design that makes using this pan a painful experience. The handle is just as short as is pictured so I only have myself to blame. Don't think that the picture is just skewed or its a perspective problem as I did. Its REALLY that short! The construction of the pan is extremely poor. The metal is not polished, and the bottom is not smooth but has a subtle dimpling/mottling throughout. You can't feel it with your fingers but you can see it if you hold the pan to reflect the light from the side off the bottom. No other pan I have is of such poor workmanship. Based on the construction and comparing to Gourmet Standard, Calphalon, Kitchen Aid, Viking and Cuisinart pans I would say that it is $200 over-priced.Back to the handle. The handle is only about 9 inches long. That may not mean much to most but to professionals and serious amateurs you know how serious a shortfall that is. The handle is too short for ANY pan! Also the handle is not solid but convex ... »» Read more...

All-Clad 7112 NS All-Clad Master Chef 2 Nonstick 12-Inch Fry Pan

Have you ever use All-Clad Master Chef 2 Nonstick 12-Inch Fry Pan maybe we love it too much...By A CustomerMy wife and I bought a set of Master Chef (before there was MC2) pans 3 and a half years ago, and the 10" N/S skillet was the best part of it. All-Clad is heavy stuff, no hot spots or cold spots. I love every piece that I own, and have been completely satisfied with the set, except that now, the exterior of the pan is discolored (I really don't mind that part, it just means that we love it; and no, we haven't used it on a gas range), and the non-stick surface is not so non-stick anymore. I cooked salmon, of all things, an oily fish(!), in a dry pan, and it stuck. Maybe we've just worn it out, but my next non-stick pan is still going to be All-Clad.12 of 14 people found the following review helpful. »» Read more...

All-Clad 700492 All-Clad Master Chef 2 14 Piece Cookware Set

Find this useful All-Clad Master Chef 2 14 Piece Cookware Set Great cookware setBy Trebor30I have been through many a cookware set in my time and I have fallen in love with this set. Great clean ability from the handsome brushed aluminum exterior to the mirror stainless interior. They truly clean up with soap, water and a nylon pad. Even heating is evident as you put some EVOO in a pan and saute onions that brown evenly from the center to the outside of the pan each onion is cooking at the same rate. They are light weight and rival, if not exceed some of the best European brand cookware. Best of all they are USA made and have a lifetime warranty. One small note is the lids are not made in the US (made in China) but fit well and clean as good. I give this set my highest recommendation.0 of people found the following review helpful. »» Read more...

All-Clad 7412 All-Clad Master Chef 2 12-Inch Chef's Pan

Do you want to buy All-Clad Master Chef 2 12-Inch Chef's Pan Might be good but, healthier?!?By S. YeI really have to question how the other reviewer managed to conclude that food cooked in the Master Chef is healthier than food cooked in a traditional steel wok. Since this pan isn't nonstick, you'll have to use as much oil or even MORE oil than in a carbon steel wok to cook, because carbon steel absorbs oil as it becomes seasoned and over time becomes far less sticky, and thus requires less oil to cook with.I'm not saying that this ultra-luxe pan isn't a great pan, but don't expect it to cook healthier food just because it uses multiple metals or costs several times as much as a cheap traditional wok. It's also questionable as to whether this pan transfers heat better than a traditional carbon steel wok, since the reason the aluminum core is inserted is partially because stainless steel doesn't transfer heat as well as regular carbon steel, so the aluminum is inserted to compensate. It might be true that the aluminum actually enhances it enough so that it can even beat out carbon steel, but I have my doubts.0 of people found the following review helpful. »» Read more...

All-Clad 7213 All-Clad Master Chef 2 3-Quart Saucier Pan

Kool All-Clad Master Chef 2 3-Quart Saucier Pan Angle of handle is all WRONG on this pot . . .By D. JonesFor some reason, AllClad set the angle of the handle much shallower than on their other pots and pans--the angle is similar to a fry pan. When you lift the pan off the stove, the rim of the pan does not remain level. This is especially annoying if you are working with this pan alongside several pots. A minor detail perhaps. Otherwise, an excellent pan, great for cooking rice and reducing sauces.7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. »» Read more...

All-Clad 7303.5 All-Clad Master Chef 2 3-1/2-Quart Casserole Pan

I have this All-Clad Master Chef 2 3-1/2-Quart Casserole Pan great pot, but hot handlesBy Erika M.We received this as a wedding gift, and the size is excellent. The MC2 brushed finish is far easier to keep clean than our all-clad stainless pans. The only problem is that the handles on this pot get extremely hot (not just warm) when I use it--I can't touch them at all without pot-holders. I'm used to the stay-cool all-clad frying pan handles. I assumed that the shorter handles would stay cool as well, but they didn't.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. »» Read more...

All-Clad 7202 All-Clad Master Chef 2 2-Quart Saucepan with Lid

Do you have got All-Clad Master Chef 2 2-Quart Saucepan with Lid Nice panBy J. ParkerI've only had this pan for about a week now, but so far it's been just what I needed. I've used to to warm cream and, along with a metal Amco mixing bowl, serve as a double boiler, where I prefer a pan taller than it is wide, and it's worked just fine. I don't think the appearance is as attractive as the stainless or even the LTD lines, but it's not bad, really. Performance matters more, anyway. Plus, I found this pan mis-marked at Dillard's for a mere $23.75, so I wasn't going to pass it up just because it isn't shiny on the outside. A pan of this size and shape is very handy to have, and I would buy this one again without hesitation...even though I personally would rather have the stainless, mainly because I wonder how well the exterior will wear.4 of 5 people found the following review helpful. »» Read more...

All-Clad 700393 All-Clad Master Chef 2 7-Piece Cookware Set

Buying online All-Clad Master Chef 2 7-Piece Cookware Set Single Guy Learns to Love CookingBy Alex SmithThese pans are awesome. That's my opinion but my opinion doesn't mean much because I've never owned anything else. So, let me tell you what my concerns were before buying and why it ended up so great.Concern 1: Stick & BurnI cook a lot but I'm always in a hurry. Young, single guy on a budget. I need to cook quickly. For this reason, I had almost gone with non-stick. Most likely hard-anodized. That would have been a mistake. Stick is non-existent with these pans. First thing I did was to take out the 8" frying pan and fry and egg, the ultimate test of stick. I listened to the reviews. Let the pan heat up first, add the butter, then the egg. I nervously went for the flip expecting the egg to be stuck, but it was so slick it almost hit the ceiling when I flipped it. The egg came out perfect and the pan was clean as new with some hot water and dish soap. I never thought I'd have such a stupid grin from flipping an egg. I've heard quality has a huge affect on the stickiness of stainless and this is obviously quality. Concern 2: Use & CleanupBefore this set, I cooked mostly with cast iron (and some ... »» Read more...

All-Clad 7112 All-Clad Master Chef 2 12-Inch Fry Pan

Read this guy talk about All-Clad Master Chef 2 12-Inch Fry Pan All-Clad is the best overallBy Joshua G. FeldmanThe ongoing debate over cookware at my house is over: All-Clad is the best cookware overall and is worth the extra money. Our coppers tarnish and require retinning. Our encapsulated disk cookware (Reverer and Farberware) suffer from loose and broken plastic handles and too-small disks which limit the cooking area of the fry pans. The biggest debate was between Calphalon and All-Clad. My wife really liked the lighter weight of Calphalon's anodized aluminum stuff. After living for both for several years, All-Clad has shown its overall superiority in the following ways:1) Denser anodized finish. The All-Clad LTD finish is much denser and more even that that on Calphalon. This makes it more attractive and easier to clean. On the MC2 stuff the finish is not anodized, but it is tightly frosted and well made. It's quite attractive too. I've started to accumulate MC2 stuff because it's cheaper and performs just as well. The LTD stuff does look better on a rack mixed with Calphalon. It's tough to beat black aesthetically.2) Greater heat sensitivity. You actually cook with the stove set to a lower temperature with All-Clad. It appears to register changes more quickly. Both types of pan are good in this reguard - but the All-Clad is noticeably better.3) Bend proof - aluminum ... »» Read more...
